Letter from the Field: “The Morning Woke up in Me.”

[Dear Fred]

I think the credit should go to you and I must thank you for it. Because it was one of your podcasts that I was listening to, that evening. 

I listened to your podcast and then I went to bed as usual, and woke up next morning almost like any other mornings. I say “almost” because when I woke up there was a very small difference. 

The mind was in silence and “something” started the morning and the scene was ready for another day. Only because mind was in silence I had this chance to notice this. Notice and feel that “thing” that turns the lights on. And only after that the theater stage is there, and only because of “That” the show keeps going on so alive.

I am sure it was not the first time I was feeling it. I have had this feeling many times in the past, specially when I was younger as a kid. Feeling that “thing” that is always prior to the scene. This is so simple that I always simply ignored it. But not this time. 

Then I noticed ceiling is so ceiling, and door is so door, and floor is so floor, and home is so “home.” Exactly the same way I used to experience our home as a kid. Everything was so real and so alive there that something like “Time” was just a virtual concept.

I can say I didn’t wake up in that morning, morning woke up in me.
