Willy is a LUCKY lama, and you are a dear friend! Thanks for the repost… isn’t it wonderful to be able to look back at who we thought we were and laugh? Much love to you, Fred!

Since this spot already has my name on it I will tell you how much I enjoyed the piece about Willy, our (mine and my spouse) weekend visitor and very special friend along with his brother, Jack. They come running into our family room and seem so happy to be here it’s contagious!!! Willy deserves all you said about him and I loved the last sentence re our precious daughter, Betsy–such a kind, helpful, friendly and goodhearted person. Wouldn’t have missed knowing you two for anything. Keep up the good work, Fred.

    Love to you ALL!!

Beautifully expressed, Fred. It got me thinking of one of my favourite Whitman poems:

“I think I could turn and live with animals, they are so placid and self-contain’d,
I stand and look at them long and long.
They do not sweat and whine about their condition,
They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins,
They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God,
Not one is dissatisfied, not one is demented with the mania of owning things,
Not one kneels to another, nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago,
Not one is respectable or unhappy over the whole earth.
So they show their relations to me and I accept them,
They bring me tokens of myself, they evince them plainly in their possession.
I wonder where they get those tokens,
Did I pass that way huge times ago and negligently drop them?….”

    Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass.

Funny, as I rescued Frisco (kitten) in November 2014….around the same time things really began to shift, and shift and shift…..then reading your book and meeting you right after I finished it in July 2015. What a beautiful reminder about the animals who arise in our life.

Thank you, I got to play with him today too! “finding great joy by bringing great joy” and that joy spreading far and wide (just like his dad!)

Thank you for reposting this, Fred. I really needed it today. In fact, your entire website is where I will spend my day. I have not told you how much I love the new format, especially the passing clouds over the blue blue sky! You are my best, my favorite, my go to resource when the Unit starts to plummet into its darkness. I am so lucky, I have you, the Sangha, the Sunday Satsangs………I have/am ALL!

    With much love and gratitude,
    Joyceness
