Metamorphosis: Watercolors by Bob Turano

My friend Bob Turano sent me prints of these moths today, along with a note.

I like these very much. I asked Bob what they were made of, and what gave him the idea to do them – they’re a new turn in his art.

The material is watercolor paper…the idea came from my friend amanda and i talking about… the concept of awakening….metamorphosis….from caterpillar to a flying unit….like us….we go from fetus…to human to awareness…consciousness…you know the rest of the words that point to that which doesn’t come and go..it sure is fun making them…love atcha…b

Bob also sent me a forest scene. I’m including it here because I can feel the storm of aliveness within it.
