When You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know
Here’s a link to an op-ed in the New York Times that may interest some of you. It points to a deep flaw in much of Western philosophy that I don’t typically notice in Eastern philosophy. Just because you don’t know what you don’t know doesn’t mean you can justifiably dismiss it out of hand. Understanding that you don’t know what you don’t know allows for openness, respect, and heavens, even for a little humility.
