The Thought Train

THE THOUGHT TRAIN
The Thought Train, the thought train
Rattles the rails as it shakes the plain
full of thoughts and oughtas and gotta be gottas
Dreamin and schemin and not likin the seemin’
and hurry and worry and sidestep and scurry…
things to be done and things to undo
an endless train running through me and through you…
-until-
one day I decided to just love it too
and suddenly I just knew… I thought
I was the train, I guess I’m that too,
and I’m also the track and the land
and the sea and the sky of black or rose or grey or blue…
The ol’ thought train’s just a Thrummin’ Through…
-And-
Then I went up to some of them thoughts
and hugged them as dear as could be
and I loved them all well for just what they are
for they all are a part of me
And I loved them and hugged them and wondered about them
and then I just let them be…
AND THEN! They let go of me!
Next thing ya know I am free!!!
And the next thing I did with that old train
was let all them thoughts out onto the plain,
And thanked every one as they wandered away,
And though they may stop by still now and again,
They usually don’t give me much pain.
Ta Da.. [the end]
