Work hard, stay humble. I notice that is the essential message of the I Ching. No matter what resulting hexagram comes up, the message is that persistently following the path of virtue will yield the best results.

I’ve done a lot of I Ching work over the years. Clearly it has a strong leaning toward humility and perseverance. We just talked (4/20), and I’m very happy to see you doing just what I mentioned elsewhere: You’re allowing what already going on anyway to the degree that you can. That’s great. Even if we find resistance to allowing, we can BE OPEN to further surrender to the present arising.

      All love,
      Fred

This is a main hang up for me. Even the word “repose” sounds attractive to me. Fred, you had a post about how there’s no resting stage in this process, and so that didn’t “sit” well. Of course my life of trying to find rest has not been restful, so here I am! And “rest” was just the last stop to try and get off at, after all that other trying bottomed out.

Very quirky your “i’m only using denial if i’m not in awakeness”. very simple … and restful!
