An Invitation into Noticing

See for yourself, a coin is actually three sided: heads, tails, AND the ring or rim which connects each side to the other! Similarly, it’s commonly understood that experience, life is like a two-sided coin, possible only because of opposites: self/other, this/that, hot/cold, light/dark, here/there, us/them, sickness/health. Can you disagree or say otherwise? Like the ring or rim of a coin, what is it that “connects” or “holds” these opposites of experience together?
Can you NOT agree that it must be this present, alert and aware noticing? You have the opportunity to notice this noticing now: notice this noticing, now.
Notice what’s noticing this moment. In direct experience, can you find a beginning to this noticing? Actually look for the beginning of this present, alert and aware noticing. Take a moment to do this now. In direct experience, can you find an end to this noticing? Actually look for an end to this present, alert and aware noticing. Again, take a moment to do this now.
Notice that if you answered “no” to these two questions, that this present and alert, aware noticing is outside of or without time: no beginning, no ending; eternal, timeless. Again, notice the eternal, timeless nature of this noticing, now.
In direct experience, can you find an edge to this noticing? Actually look in any direction for an edge to this present, alert and aware noticing. Take a moment to do this now, explore this noticing.
In direct experience, can you find a center to this noticing awareness? Actually look for a center to this present, alert and aware noticing. Take a moment to do this now, explore this noticing.
Now, notice that if you answered “no” to these two questions, this present, alert and noticing awareness is without edges, without a center, without dimensions, outside the limits of space: infinite. Again, notice the infinite nature of this noticing, now.
Now, can you find any difference between “what” is noticing (the noticing that is noticing) and “what” is being noticed (this timeless, infinite noticing being noticed)?
Continue resting in this present, alert and aware, timeless, infinite noticing as long as you do.
You can revisit this exploration and noticing whenever you choose to do so. Enjoy.
