Betsy’s Surgery went Great!
Hello, my loves.
Betsy had her reverse shoulder replacement surgery this morning. It was carried out in textbook perfection by her kind and funny doctor, who’s done hundreds and hundreds of these before. I’m sure she wasn’t in recovery for more than about 20 minutes. One of the nurses told me, “Wow, she woke up right away, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed! We don’t get many of those!“
“Amen to that,” I told her.😆
She’s home now, although it looks like I will have to tie her to the bed to keep her there. She’s scooting and swishing around like a greased-up bluebird. Her doctor asked her not to do too much while the nerve block worked. I asked her. Not great compliance.😉But we worked together to get all the dishes in the washer and some food in the boys’ bellies. I suspect I’ll have a more compliant patient tomorrow.
That’s it. I just wanted to tell as many as I could. We’re oh-so-grateful for your love, thoughts, prayers, spells, or what have you!
