The awakening process is unlike any other transformation you might undergo. It does not simply broaden your horizons, but opens them up and out into infinite dimensions.

It’s like learning that the earth is round, having previously “known” it was flat (as many believed prior to 300 BC). You would have been fearful of traveling too far and falling off the edge. The sun and moon rose and set over the disc’s edges each day. But much didn’t add up. Why was it that a ship disappearing over the horizon seemed to “drop” slowly rather than suddenly? What held the earth up? What accounted for the seasons?

Much would be inexplicable and mysterious. Myths would proliferate and often contradict each other in attempts to explain the nature of the earth. Does it rest on the back of a turtle? It’s turtles all the way down! Such speculation would be your best guess regarding all the seeming anomalies.

Life would seem frightening, full of dragons, demons and occult forces. Any semblance of control or security would be tenuous, at best. The sun or moon or the sky itself might fall at any moment; anything could happen.

To then learn that the earth was round would dramatically alter your experience. A raft of fear would float away. So many things would be so easily explained. Countermeasures against dangers that had never existed could be discarded. Travel as far as you please. Don’t fear the eclipse. Trust that day will follow night, spring will follow winter.

The world and its phenomena would seem simpler and be more clearly understood. And this discovery would inspire faith that future discoveries about the earth and the universe might further enlighten.

Your intellectual and emotional outlook would thus shift profoundly, leading to a greater sense of clarity and ease. The mind would no longer strain to reconcile the irreconcilable; a host of perceived “problems” would simply vanish. Of course, this wouldn’t happen overnight. There would be an adjustment period while the mind acclimates to this new reality, explores it and absorbs its implications. But having fully comprehended that the earth is round, the view that it is flat would simply no longer be tenable.

Such is the nature of our experience in starting to see. It entails a profound shift in paradigms. But rather than a mere shift from a two-dimensional flat world to the ease and elegance of a world in three dimensions, our present three-dimensional reality unfolds, explodes and endlessly flows into infinite glimmering, scintillating dimensions. Again, our habit of interpreting reality in solid 3-D may dissipate slowly, and we may sometimes feel pulled back into the ignorance of our personal past. But what has been seen cannot be unseen.

So continue to learn about and explore this bright, new, wide reality, which offers a previously unimagined abundance of peace, clarity, wisdom and love. With its infinite dimensions, the possibilities are endless. The sky is not the limit!
