Letter from Awakening Clarity Now’s Editor (And a little visual puzzle.)
Hi Fred,
I watched today’s post with much appreciation. When you brought out the faces/vase illustration, that reminded me of something I have been meaning to send you for some time. It is similar; however, in this one, I have found it is virtually impossible to go back to the old way of seeing once one has seen Jesus. I used to use this in my classes to demonstrate the Ah hah! experience with a poem.
There is a story that goes with it. Supposedly, a photographer was having a crisis of faith. He bargained with god as follows: “If you will allow me to take a picture of you, I will believe.” Then he pointed his camera at a snowy rock face and took a shot. When he developed it, he saw nothing resembling the almighty, but after a certain amount of scrutiny, the face of Jesus popped out.
Some see it immediately and can’t believe that others can’t see it, so plain it is to those who see. Others see it eventually and can’t believe that they ever could not see it. I used to have students come up and point out details of the image. They would grow ever more amazed that, even with such direct pointing, many of their classmates could not see the image.

I thought you would enjoy it.
Love,
John
It’s great, thank you, John!

Thanks, John and Fred (and Jesus). I had to remove my glasses; then Jesus appeared. Less focus on details sometimes works to bring out the big picture.
All love,
Kathleen

Lol
I had to take my glasses off and squint and low and behold
there he was
Put the glasses back on and wasnt there unless I squinted
Ahhhh but now I looked again and yup no effort needed
And the not trying in the minds eye to hang onto the notion
Of seeing Jesus
Thank you all

Brilliant. Like those 3d patterns where you have to focus and relax at the same time before you see the 3d effect. (So called magic eye images.)
Thanks to all.
