Letter from the Field: Thanks for the Clarity
Dear Fred,
I have been a student of Zen, Ramana Maharshi, neo-Advaita, and traditional Advaita Vedanta. Although I had “awakened to my true nature.” it was the day-to-day stuff that held me “waiting for another THIS.” I came across your videos about a year ago and then came across them again a few weeks ago. Thank you for being so incredibly real about all of this. Even though I had “awakened” years ago, I have had so much clarity these past few weeks due to watching your YouTube videos. I just wanted to express my gratitude for your complete openness and no BS approach. It has helped me bridge that gap between Awakening and being Awakeness.

Thank you, Jill. In your letter, you point as this teaching does to the fundamental problem in nondual teachings around the world. It’s why the majority of seekers will never awaken. It’s also why the majority of those who do will be drawn back into the dream and will never clear.
I have an unpopular video that discusses this exact situation. Few watch it, I imagine because the crowd is more attached to their childish fantasy (the same one I had) than they are drawn toward the truth. I notice that there is an unusually high number of thumbs down for this video – almost 10%, more than double the channel average. I can only shake my head.
Clearly this spiritual blindness, just like everything else, is precisely as it should be, as it must be. I just thank God it’s not true for my people.
