Letter from the Field: The Collapse of an Image Named Peter (If you missed the free Sunday Satsang, you missed an awake riot.)
Fred,
There is GRATITUDE for the process in yesterday’s Zoom-Satsang, and the resulting transformational shift.
Using the distinction of “Prior” and “Peter” proved to be VERY useful and effective in the process.
The process itself felt clear, concise and well guided. The essential distinctions and identifications emerged organically with clarity and ease. Throughout the inquiry/exploration, the guidance was direct and to the point, based on a rapport that instilled confidence and trust in the process.
The aftermath, considered as a transitional period, feels serene, open, and includes authentic expression that flows with ease. There is an overall sense of “okay-ness” that underlies all experience: It is okay to feel this way, and yes, “this” is included, as is “this.”
The above applies from the perspective of “Prior.” “Peter,” on the other hand, continues to adhere to emotional patterns that feel familiar and predictable. If “Prior” walks in on “Peter,” options become available, including choices that used to be inaccessible when the identification with “Peter” was transparent, i.e., the perspective of “Prior” was not accessible to the degree it is now after working with you, Fred.
The experience of “awakeness” brings access to language that points to a way of being that is inclusive in the most expansive meaning: Everything is included in that sense of being (“beingness”), which is a powerful realization, defined by clarity and simplicity that is easily accessible.
The discussion of “attention” and its definition feels very helpful. It is experienced as the ability to direct it (attention), which has powerful implications on what is being experienced.
With gratitude,
Prior (formerly known as Peter)

So very well expressed, Peter/Prior. It is so freeing to have the option of seeing from our true self rather than from the separate self.

Just reading “If Prior walks in on Peter, options become available …” led to a ‘different’ experience here. My computer screen is very reflective, and before reading I wondered about ‘accepting vs changing’. I accepted it, ‘chose’ how the play of light is nice in itself. After, I looked INTO the reflection and saw the most beautiful city scenes and motions of traffic. “Walkning in on” reminds me of “being in retirement”. And these are ever greater relaxations into What Is while that comparative still seems to be choosable. Thank you.
