Fred’s response to a student recently on clearing, “advanced seeking,” and the “overwhelming simplicity of nonduality.”
Hi! Thanks for your letter. At the risk of “carrying coal to Newcastle,” I’ll share a bit about the experiencing of clearing as it has been recognized here.
Sometime after awakening, study of anything appearing as external dropped. Mind loves these mysteries: the occult, mystical, and “hidden,” because it wants to make sense of “all this.”
What wants to “make sense” out of overwhelming simplicity of nonduality? Ego. If ego can just make sense of it all, then everything will finally fall into place.
This entire phenomenon is in and of the dream. It’s Maya appearing to be helpful while actually expanding the delusion of “other,” and falling prey to the false promises of “getting it” more, or deeper, better, or what have you.
There is only Awakeness, or within the dream of manifestation, Oneness. But Oneness means just One. So there cannot be One, plus “another one” to see, experience, or understand One. That would be “twoness.”
This is it. THIS this, here and now, exactly as it is, is IT. “More,” “other,” “soon,” “revealed,” and all such terms are not representative of Truth. It’s just “advanced” seeking, meaning the same old seeking wearing a new hat.
THIS This finds THIS This (Itself) perfectly adequate here now, just as it is. 🙂🙏❤️
