More Poking Fun At Ourselves
These cartoons were sent in by my friend David, who woke up with me a few weeks ago. David’s favorite, and mine is the one with the two chickens. It’s always good for me to be reminded that I’m selling water by the river. The first runner-up for me is the one of the guy in recovery. If you don’t laugh you’ll have to cry.
So why put up all these cartoons? Well, for one thing, it puts up something fresh so that you know I’m alert and alive and thinking about you. Secondly, I’ve been so busy building the podcasting site and transferring files to it, as well as keeping track of our moving the site from one hosting service to another (so the site can grow without headaches), that I haven’t had time to even think about writing a post. Soon, though, for those of you who are Jonesing a bit. I do have notes to myself on topics for both posts and videos lined up. 🙂
Mostly, however, it’s because I think we take ourselves too seriously too much of the time. (I’m not saying we “shouldn’t” do as we are doing right now, but I’m noticing that a little push toward lightening up is unlikely to kill us or throw us back into slumber. Which reminds me of this 90 second video I cut a couple of years back. Peace.
When You’re Taking All This Too Seriously
