PICTURE POST! First Photos of Prince Jack of Hearts
We decided that King Willie needed a playmate, so today we brought him home a new brother. Willy is a Lhasa Apso, which is about the same thing as a Shih Tzu. Currently Willy is less than thrilled, but both dogs are good-hearted beings and we expect they’ll be the best of pals in pretty short order. This new puppy actually makes Willy look big! Willy is 19 pounds, and Jack, I would guess, weighs in at about two pounds, three at most.
Since awakening I’ve become very close to animals, and they’ve gotten to where they bond very quickly and strongly with me–which never really happened prior to 2006. Sometimes when I sit in my chair I don’t bother to open a book. I host a cat or a dog in my lap and gaze out the window to where I have two very well attended bird feeders. Living creatures can teach us a lot if we are willing to slow down enough to feel what they say.

Ahhhh….just too sweet! Beautiful pictures; thanks for posting. You and Betsy look so happy. Enjoy your new baby!
I agree, animals can teach us so much. Chris and I consider our cat “Enso,” to be one of our spirit guides. Animals are people, just in a different form.

We always found that two dogs were happier than one.

Hey, Kim! That’s what we’re thinking, too. Willy is always wanting to play. I DO play with him–a pretty good bit, but never for long. So does Betsy, plus we play with him together. But he’s a young dog and we are oldish people. We think this puppy will give him a playmate more his own size, age–and energy pattern!!

These photos and post added a new “dimension” of you for me. The rapport I feel with you already, from just your blogs and videos, had me feel like I could slip right into these adorable scenes with you all. Thanks for the warmth!

Thank you so much for this, Mike. I think it’s important for readers and viewers, clients and students to recognize that there is a simple, ordinary, day-to-day life being lived here, complete with joys and challenges, but it’s being lived in an extraordinary way–a way that is available to everyone reading this. Fredness, and the teaching that comes through it, is simply a mechanism You use when You want to bring Yourself greater clarity in a given “location”–within a specific jewel of Indra’s Net. There’s nothing at all special about Fredness. You are the special One.
