As I’ve said here before, I plead guilty to caring about Planet Earth.
Just like the rest of relativity, it counts, simply because it’s My experiencing.
Does it ultimately matter?
Who cares? It counts!
Wonder-full article! Love of “place” (my house, town, area) has always been more accessible for me than people relationships. On the global scale it’s kind of daunting, yet i am moved emotionally when i reflect on Planet Earth. I buy organic as an earth friendly vote from me, whereas i can’t yet manage a sense of making a difference politically. I am so glad you are “into Earth” too – that adds yet another aspect to this site that feels reinforcing to me.
I was impressed with the scope of the article, such as the coping mechanisms he even addressess. I once read (on askrealjesus.com) that climate change was a reflection in the physical of “spiritual friction”. As that author points out, even the Left would be equally part of that – in the shared belief that an individual can’t make a difference (first, and so only, by waking up!).
Thanks too, Fred, for being my Stephen Colbert” on outside issues” (AA reference). when you post like this. I’m still haunted by the great writing from the “restaurant waiter” article.

As always, thank you, Mike. Relativity counts. Experience counts. So we play our respective roles to the best of our abilities.
