Post 2 of 3: Mass Transmission via Internet? New Possibilities from the First Online Awakening Workshop

Something new happened on our planet today. A group of people entered a virtual room on the Internet this afternoon in the hope of waking up. Less than three hours later almost everyone in the room had done exactly that. In my circle of friends, we’d call that a big deal.

Some of these people have been involved in spirituality for a very long time. These are not newcomers, and they certainly are not fools. These are smart, successful, people living in the wide world with jobs, and spouses, and mortgages. Many have worked with other teachers, good teachers, people whom I respect. Some have tried damn near everything.

Nonetheless, they all knew that something was still missing. Interestingly enough, upon our finally awakening, we tend to immediately see that “the one little thing that was missing” is the only thing that actually counts. These clients today, like almost everybody else in the world, were not yet consciously awake to reality. Awakeness was not yet consciously functioning through those units.

It is now.

However, let me say that these people were really close to awakening. In one sense, everybody is really close to awakening all the time, but these people had the advantage of also being worn-out seekers. It’s a bit truer truth to state that Oneness was getting tired of those stories, but it’s sort of six of one, a half dozen of the other. In the end, all of our stories get quite tedious and repetitive, you know, and no one enjoys doing the same old thing over and over and over again—not even Oneness.

So when the boredom of becoming gets especially wearing, Oneness finally finds itself willing to tell itself the truth. That’s when it contacts me. I’m certainly not the only one it can contact for this sort of relief, but I do notice it’s been contacting me a lot over the last few years, and with this nifty new Internet tool, I’m thinking there may be something of a rush.

Granted when Oneness calls me, it’s really Me calling Me, which can get rather confusing, but this plane is about Oneness, not sameness, so let’s live a little and pretend to be separate beings until the very last minute. It makes waking up so much more fun. You never seem to tire of hearing the Cosmic Joke, and I never seem to tire of telling it. What a team.

Anyway, I’m guessing Oneness enjoys calling Fredness because The Living Method is so efficient. It doesn’t make Oneness wait in the foyer for a lifetime, or a decade, or for very long at all. It doesn’t have to put on special clothes, or learn an exotic language, or brush up on its science and math skills. The Living Method is a come-as-you-are teaching, and it’s most certainly a come-on-right-now teaching.

Knowing that Oneness has already gone through the mill, rather than muddle about, I welcome Myself in, wake Myself up, and then let Myself get on down the street to carry out the really important business of clearing up.

That’s where the rubber meets the road—abidance and embodiment. But heck, we can’t get to that last chapter of the book unless we are grounded in the first chapter—the critical chapter on initial awakening that has been chiefly ignored or overlooked for an awful long time. Which is why, I guess, that Oneness seems to be currently rewriting the chapter on initial awakening. The old sports notion that “we’ll get ‘em next year,” or “we’ll get ’em next life” doesn’t seem to be cutting it anymore. Apparently this year is “next year” at last.

Anyway, I’m tired and headed for a good night’s sleep. Oneness and I have a full day planned together tomorrow. I just wanted to let you know that this very afternoon some friends and I discovered that it’s going to be a whole lot easier to wake up from now on. So I suspect I’ll be seeing a lot more of You.
