PRIME POST! The Only Flaw There Is
A lot of people share their problems with me. I listen and share my take on things; I never tell anyone what to do, because I don’t have any idea what anyone should do until they’ve done it. It’s easiest to see the Way from a rear view mirror.
I don’t even know what this unit should do until after the fact. Then, once again, the Way is made clear and I see the unit’s done everything just right. Everything Is As It Is, and I notice that it all fits together perfectly. The Way is infallible.
Fred, however, is not always on board with the Way. He can’t be, because he’s particularly partial to Fred’s Way. Naturally Fred’s Way puts Fred at center, which is where he’s supposed to be. Rather like the sun, everything else revolves around him. This of course includes you, which I know is frustrating, because you had the idea that you were at center. Nope.
I’m glad we got that bit of flawed thinking ironed out early on, aren’t you? Quiet down and just follow directions, okay? Fred already has all this figured out, which should save you a lot of time and worry.
Fred has endless opinions about what this unit, your unit, and every other unit on the planet should be doing and how they should be doing it. Naturally Fred doesn’t consider his opinions to even be opinions. He calls his opinions facts. Opinions to the contrary are just that—opinions. There are a bunch of hard-headed units around here, that’s for sure.
Fred also knows what should be going on, from tiny details to entire world movements. Mosquitoes are not supposed to bite Fred. You would think they could recognize a special guy when they’re swarming around one. Apparently they can’t.
Other drivers ought to just straighten up and fly right. You’d think they didn’t know how Fred wants them to drive. If they would all wear their Standard Issue Psychic Hats then it would save Fred a lot of grief, and he wouldn’t have to shout at them so much, make strange gestures, or wear out his horn trying to retrain all those ignorant units.
Fred has a plan for the Russians, the North Koreans, the Iranians, and everyone else who, in his opinion, is misbehaving. Shut the hell up! Behave! Lie down, make way, get back! Can they not see it’s Fred’s Way that’s important here? They’re making a mess of things is what they’re doing, which makes it difficult for Fred to rule. And how else is he going to see that his will is done, I ask you?
Get with the plan, world. And make it snappy.
Fred’s got the weather all mapped out ahead of time, but will God listen? Oh no, IT seems to think the whole durn planet has to be looked after, when any idiot should know that it’s Fred’s patch of ground that’s the important one. People are all self-centered and greedy, you know? Who’s bothering to think about Fred, for goodness sake?
God is confused in the money department, too. Fred doesn’t have enough of it. Ever. He knows this. No matter how little or how much, it’s never enough—by quite a large margin. Fred’s only got what he’s got, and any fool can see that he should have more. A lot more. Most people are just frittering it away anyway, why not just give Fred all of it?
Fred is also an authority on all things spiritual. After all, he was a seeker for a long, long time. And then, just like magic, one day Fred woke up! Fred remembers it well, and wishes he could get another hit of that stuff have another spiritual opening for his humble self. He knows he should, no doubt about that.
Come to think of it, Fred should be a lot more awake than he is. After all, Fred is an authority on awakenings—and everything else. It’s good to be The Authority. You just make up the rules as you go along.
This “clearing” thing over a so-called “period of time” is all right for everybody else—for the average Joe Blow—but Fred is a Fred, not a Joe, and Freds are—as everyone knows—special. It’s a crying shame that the Universe doesn’t even know how to do its job right. Fred’s been let down once again. So little time, so many problems…
Wah, wah, wah.
In truth, Fred can’t find a genuine flaw here. Not a single one. How do I know?
There’s no Fred to find one, and in the absence of a Fred, there’s no flaw. It’s a perfect world.
Mind you, there’s a sense of Fred here. For a long, long time I believed that the sense of Fred was an actual Fred, but it isn’t. I’ve looked high and low and long, and I’m here to tell you that there is no Fred. No Fred, no flaw.
Oh, I could find sensations and perceptions, feeling and memories, and tons and tons of thoughts, but I couldn’t find any center to them, no central anything. Through relentless inquiry I discovered that the only thing holding them together was my belief that there was a center. There isn’t.
When consciousness forms a body, a sense of individuality comes with it; it’s a package deal. That sense of individuality, upon the introduction of a ready-made story, morphs into the sense of Fred. Neither is true.
The only flaw there is is the belief that there’s a flaw. That’s the seed of the dream: “There’s something wrong.” There isn’t. I see this when I’m not lost in misidentification.
However, whenever I think I’m a Fred I suffer. Fortunately that doesn’t happen very much any more, and if it does, it doesn’t last very long. It doesn’t hold any allure for me any longer. It’s so 2015.
In my natural state I simply can’t find find a problem. Period. I can use a magnifying glass or a telescope to look, but I cannot unearth a problem. Unless I believe I’m Fred, at which point I discover that Fred’s world sucks as much as it ever did. And it always will.
Am I willing to tell myself that there’s no Fred? This is the question each of us is presented with every moment of every day. When I look at the world from the eyes of Oneness, I discover Only This, and I notice right off that in the absence of comparison Only This is just fine. I can’t find a flaw for the life of me.
And there is no comparison to Only This, because, well—there’s Only This!
There’s no Only This plus or minus a Fred. There is no Fred. There is no Fred anywhere other than in the imagination of—Fred? No, can’t be that, because there’s no Fred.
Well, there’s no actual Fred. Sometime’s Oneness believes in a Fred in the same way it believes there’s some other oneness out there that’s cooler than IT is, which is why it’s searching so desperately to find it. Patently ridiculous, is it not?
Since there is no Fred, in the absence of a Fred, what’s left?
Only This.
Okay, okay, but is Only This awake?
You tell me.
Can you read these words, Oneness? Didn’t you just read this article? Your attention is moving to the end of this sentence, is it not?
Of course it is. Well then, hallelujah, you’re awake! You’re as awake as you’re ever going to get. Granted, you’re not clear, but don’t try to tell me you’re not awake. That which would declare “I’m not awake” is plenty awake enough to deny the charges, which means that it is—you are—awake.
So quit trying to have some big, showy dualistic experience you can brag to your friends about, and turn your already awake attention toward clearing. There’s a guy who specializes in helping people with that kind of work. I’m confident you already know about him.

Hey, Harrietness! You’re welcome!

Thanks for your wisdom and humor, Fred.
Kathleen is a dream character wishing the dream would go another way. She even thinks it would be easier to wake up, once she straightens out the dream. But waking up (and staying clear) is the direct and simple way to “straighten out” the dream.
Meddling in the dream distracts me from the vastness, sometimes even to the extent that I forget about it all together. So this is my work, to keep a casual eye on the dream, but remain aware that it is a very small part of Me.
All love,
Kathleen

Perfect.
You are Unborn–not of the dream.
You are Unbound–without limitation.
You are Untouched–dreams affect its characters, not the dreamer Itself.
Love,
Fred

I was going to say “even Secret Mike” thought this was so funny, as well as perfectly unfolded. But to go with the Flow, it’s Awakeness that does. And Awakeness is still playing with Secret Mike, but can’t find a way to include him in the fun that’s here (damn that Fred)!
The cross connection recently occurred to me that “the sense there’s something wrong” is the same thing as “sin” (and then guilt, and fear, now ten thousand, and voila – dream). The sacred cow status given to those words is just shouting and putting dramatic costumes on the words (and the sense): “THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG!”
And all we have to do is remember we’re awake, and that becomes funny!
Now Oneness, bring Your attention to this – . (there’s love in that dot!)
