I’ll be taking a hiatus from Satsang for a while, but I didn’t want to leave without thanking you once again for what you do, and specifically the direct impact you’ve had on my own awakening (I’m confident you’ll excuse the limitations of language in this email).
I remember you mentioning once that after the shift, everything I’ve read or been exposed to over the years of spiritual seeking would suddenly make sense, or be seen with deeper clarity. And you were correct. Oh my, were you correct.
When I read the words of Nisargadatta now, or his master Siddarameshwar, for example, an instant confirmation takes place of the realization that’s happened here. It’s like pieces of a puzzle falling effortlessly into place. Doubts vanish. Confidence effortlessly deepens…. for no one…
As I mentioned in a previous email, I believe one of the measures of a true teacher is how many people are waking up around them. There are quite a few teachers on the nondual circuit that can describe their own awakening, or what awakening is, in a truly powerful way. However, in my experience, there’s not many that I’m aware of that have helped anywhere near the number of people to wake up as you have (and I’ve checked out many teachers, gurus and swamis both here in the West, and in India).
Having been a professional spiritual seeker for almost 30 years before the recognition of my true nature, I feel quite confident in my analysis of various teachers and the results they produce. All in all, it’s a pretty dismal record.
Please keep up this good work you’re doing, Fred. Your method gets results. I’m proof, as are many others. I won’t add anymore superlatives, because I don’t want to blow smoke up your a**…. :o) but these things needed to be said…. respect and validation where deserved ;o)
And on a personal note, I wish you all the best with your upcoming operation. May it be successful, and bring you lasting relief. I’m 70 (close to your age, I’m guessing), so this old body has its share of health issues as well.
Thank god, we know with certainty and confidence that we are not the body/mind/personality complex.
All the best Fred-ness,
Brian-ness
