I’m taking up your call and resisting Tetris (an older pattern that has popped in again the last couple of weeks)! It was interesting hearing you describe “feeling” discipline was needed. The concept for me is touchy, since it wasn’t too prevalent for this character, especially compared to how much this character thought it should be! And yet here I am. My best guess is it’s a second call for honoring what would have been an undivided desire or interest. If that’s been putt off – questioned, delayed, ignored, etc – then it’s going to percolate through a sense of discipline (make yourself. what self making which self? exactly!). And maybe that’s where the etymology ties in too, the root discere meaning to learn, become acquainted with. For me I’ll take that as discerning those initial impulses and getting more into their flow. I certainly didn’t primarily discipline myself into finding Awakening Clarity Now! And I’d still much rather go through those windows of opportunity before beating down those doors with discipline.
