VIDEO REWIND: “YES, there’s something you can DO to wake up!”
There is no “doer” who causes the wind to blow. Nonetheless, it blows.
Even though there’s no doer and nothing to be done, there’s still something that can happen, and paradoxically, that happening can be encouraged.
“YES, there’s something you can DO to wake up!”

Thanks, Fred! Even though there’s no one to wake up, there is awareness, looking for itself. Practices direct awareness away from the search and back into itself.
And I agree that having a teacher has been immensely helpful. I have been awake all along, but didn’t know it until you so skillfully pointed it out. The two key lessons for me were: 1) that we needn’t do or attain anything to be awake; it can only happen in the here and now, and 2) we can never be not awake. We are always brilliantly shining, no matter how “cloudy” we may feel.
