This is just a snapshot of my morning mail from people I already know.
This doesn’t count friends seeking council,
readers looking for “just this one tiny tip, please,”
appointment questions, or payments or confirmations.
Thought it would be fun for you to see,
and help others understand why I simply cannot offer that one tiny tip outside of satsang.
Got questions?
Get into satsang.

From my dear friend, the Joyce Unit, in Massachusetts:
Reflecting on our session on Thursday, I am laughing all the way to the bank (the clarity bank, that is). I just keep laughing and laughing at the unit looking for spiritual experience, when all the time IT IS the spiritual experience it is looking for! I am…………..for now………….HERE. As Vince would say, THIS THIS THIS!!
love, and much of it,
Awakeness

Soraya and I are here in Paris and have just encountered a “Sneaky Louie.” This is a name we have for something that hits suddenly and unexpectedly from out of the blue, pulling the rug from under and throwing everything into total and complete disarray.
We arrived here in Paris on our tour, both feeling pretty much in flow.
Soraya woke at 1:00 am with severe abdominal pain and to cut a long story short, we were catapulted into Emergency at a Paris hospital, waiting 9 hours with Soraya doubled up in a foetal position much of the time on the floor to arrive at a final diagnosis of appendicitis and an emergency appendectomy, which was thankfully successful and she is now feeling much better 3 days later.
I have been feeling pretty clear in and amongst all this apparent chaos until this afternoon when I had a totally O.T.T. reaction to something small, and oneness jumped right back into the character until thankfully I received your once more very timely wake up call.
Thanks again Fred.
Much Love from Paris,
Terry
p.s. We have had to cancel some flights and events and juggle things around, but tomorrow we fly to Prague to finish the first leg of the tour.
Let’s hope this particular storm has passed and we have some plain sailing for a while ..No expectations
~
Oh! Give my love to Soraya, and take some for yourself! Nine hours waiting for an emergency appendectomy?!?!?!?!? I must say that I continue to find the way the Universe runs the Universe to be astonishing! I can scarce believe that such a thing is perfect, but it happened, so I know it has to be. Fred would nonetheless like to give the person in charge of admittance and allotment of resources at that hospital a quick punch in the nose!
I’m glad you’re both safe. Know that I love you.
Conscious Awakeness as fredness
Earlier this morning I got this from Africa:
Hi Fred,
I’ve found this [book title] to be an excellent resource.
Kind regards,
K.
Hi – I’m reading “The Leap: The Psychology of Spiritual Awakening (An Eckhart Tolle Edition)” by Steve Taylor and wanted to share this quote with you.
“Myth 10: In wakefulness, the self disappears. There’s literally “no one there.” Wakefulness is a state of selflessness. This misconception is closely related to the last. According to this view, the self is an illusion, just as the world is. When we wake up, we become no one. Our sense of personal identity disappears. There’s no longer a doer who performs actions; actions are just performed through us. Some modern nonduality (or Neo-Advaita) teachers take this view, but again, it’s based on a misunderstanding. One metaphor sometimes used to describe the awakening process is that of the wave and the ocean. In our sleep state, we see ourselves as individual waves, separate”
~
Hi, K. I don’t need a reference. I am the reference.
I don’t know what Neo-Advaita teaches, and I don’t care. I would never in a million years declare anything in Myth #10 to be true. But I can tell you that the statement declaring Myth #10 to be untrue is written from a place that is also delusional.
Hi Fred!
Your Awakening Clarity post on heavy weather is directly in line with some research I’ve been conducting lately. This big ol’ brain of mine has gotten excited about advances in the area of neurophysiological experiences of pain. One thing that has come up repeatedly is this notion of “catastrophizing,” which means the tendency of the mind to make a REALLY BIG DEAL over things that really aren’t a big deal at all (similar to your description of heavy weather patterns).
I’ve attached one of the papers. This is some heady stuff, but I love the idea that a bunch of scientists got into a room, conducted a study with a whole bunch of participants, and found that “…catastrophizing mediated the relationship between depression and the affective and evaluative experience of pain. This suggests that catastrophizing may be more important than depression in terms of how chronic pain patients ultimately evaluate their pain experience and may impact how they cope with chronic pain.”
-Geisser et al., Catastrophizing, depression and the sensory, affective and evaluative aspects of chronic pain (1994).
Of course, this is something we already know, but it’s always fascinating to see these things are supported by hard SCIENCE! I’d like to begin our one-on-one sessions in the near future, I really do get so much from them.
Cheers,
Robert

My eight pounds of internal head meat is not active enough to keep up with this type of thing. That’s what Roberts are for. :-)♥
Fred,
I am currently in the Finder’s Course and we are currently concentrating on a direct inquiry practice. Jeffery posted links to your videos. I “woke up” yesterday shortly after watching this video of yours, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cFWLNxw-Qk. I cannot thank you enough! I was hoping to book a session with you while my transition is fresh. Please let me know your availability. If easier, please feel free to text or call at 310-940-5445
Love and Gratitude,
Scott

Hi, Scott! This is great! Welcome home!
A Clarity Session, or a series, if that’s financially feasible for you, will really change your world. I stay booked pretty well in advance, but I’ve just started meeting people for a fourth appointment of the day at 4:30 pm Eastern. I don’t know your time zone. If that’ll work, I see a couple of openings for last next week. Procedure is to send payment, and then my wife Betsy will write you tomorrow to set things up. I’ll get hammered for appointments from FC people, so don’t delay. See you soon!
[Email sent with the error intact. It’s busy here.]

It’s great to get this “snapshot” of a day in the life of Fred! And a tast of “others'” commnets.
More power to you, Mike
