Questions without Answers: Questions for Nondual Inquiry by Amber Inman-Kent
My friend Amber lives in England just a few miles away from Grantchester, if you happen to be familiar with that BBC program. It’s in the neighborhood with Cambridge University. We talked about nondual inquiry recently, and I asked her to send me questions if any should arise. They did! Some of these questions are to ask yourself in response to reflexive thoughts, and others are of the pondering variety. They are on the money, I can tell you that. Spend some time with them and see what arises.
Please keep in mind these two important points:
1) The inquirer is always Awakeness, regardless of who it feels like is doing it. There is no Amber and no Fred, so Amber and Fred could never do inquiry. It’s the Self that does Self-inquiry.
2) You’re not looking for answers here, you’re simply asking questions to shake up or stop the mind. It’s that shaking and stopping that does the work. Ask, pause, and allow the question to settle in. Then move onto another, and take it through the same process. Let curious silence meet the question.
Did you plan to think that?
Is it any different than it is?
