Three Minute Video: Remaining Open To What We Don’t Know
One of the things that happens to us in the wake of realization is that ego secretly rebuilds in the guise of a wise person. As you might imagine, it happened to me. Wherever there is a pitfall for arrogance, you can bet I’ve found it–and may yet find it again! In this video, however, I talk about one form of humility that I was beaten into a couple of years ago, and which has proven to be extremely useful ever since: being open to what I don’t know.
I say again, “We know what we know, but we don’t know what we don’t know.” Let’s be open to the idea that we might not have it ALL just yet. Or ever.

Fred, how can we be sure that we actually know? I mean, how would I know that something I think is right and not wrong? There is no way to know that. All know for sure is that I AM HERE RIGHT NOW. EVerything else is up in the air.
