It was weird for a few minutes yesterday afternoon way over here in Iowa, so I imagine it must have been quite the experience at your place!

Amazing description!! We had a non event here in RI. The most noticeable were the birds chirping with great excitement, astonishment, wonderment?

Through these eyes, gaseous nebula, open clusters, and globular clusters have been seen. So too the rings of Saturn and the Great Red Spot of Jupiter. And Venus hanging brightly in the evening and morning sky. And the planet Mercury hugging the sun early twilight. The Milky Way and the great Rift, along with the Magellanic Clouds have appeared overhead as reminders of the vastness of this universe. Distant galaxies have been viewed through telescopes. These eyes have seen Haley’s comet, Comet Hale Bopp, and Comet Hyakutaki as well as countless meteors, meteor showers, and even one fantastic meteor storm. These eyes have seen annular eclipses and photos of total solar eclipses

But never have these teary eyes witnessed anything as exquisitely transcendent and majestic, as profoundly mystical and mind-stopping, or as deeply felt viscerally and emotionally as the jewel that appeared in the sky during totality yesterday (viewed from the mountains of Idaho)!

I was just walking into the gym when all these folks were standing outside with those special glasses. Wow! The naked eye with sunglasses nada, put those special glasses on, phenomenonal experience.
