UPDATED 7.17.17: Photos of Clarity House Two and a Half Months After Moving In

If you haven’t been haunting this site for very long, you may just now be figuring out that The Living Method is not a garden variety nondual teaching, and Awakening Clarity Now is not an ordinary website. There are a whole bunch of us waking up together, some of whom have been close for years, and others who just joined us today for their first Sunday Satsang. We are more than friends. We are family.
So, my dear family, I promised you that sooner or later I’d post some “after the move” shots of Clarity House once we got reasonably organized. I also promised I’d include some interior shots. Two months after our move-in, I am now making good on both of those promises.
Clarity House is small, only about 1,600 square feet, plus a small basement. The Lodge out back, which is not yet climate controlled, is another 350 square feet. The two buildings sit on 1/3 of an acre of grass, moss, and shrubbery, with wonderful stonework and brickwork everywhere you look. Most of the yard is shady. There is one giant oak, a couple of wonderful birches out front, and a small forest of crepe myrtles our front, down one side, and then lining the drive in back. Overall, it has a very Zen-like flavor to it.
It’s been an enormous amount of work to clean-up, refit, and upgrade – not only for Betsy and me, but also for plumbers, a chimney sweep, concrete form carpenters, HVAC men, yard men, electricians, and on and on. And Rick! Betsy and I call Clarity House “The House that Rick Built,” which is not far from the truth. He can do damn near anything, and he only knows one way to do anything: perfectly. Calling Rick a handyman is like calling Matisse a house painter. He started working for us five weeks before the move-in, and we’re blessed beyond measure to have him as a friend.
We bought a house back in February, but we now have a home. It’s set in a beautiful, fairly urban neighborhood (Heathwood), which is great to walk in, with lovely homes, little traffic, good sidewalks, a small park that’s a block and a half away, and friendly, waving, welcoming neighbors. If they didn’t film Father Knows Best, and Leave it to Beaver in this area, then they missed a golden opportunity. The cultural jump from the ‘hood where we use to live to Heathwood is enough to give you whiplash.
Betsy and I were talking about Clarity House tonight, and I said, “This house is built on love and gratitude.” And so it is. You have made all of this possible, and we bow to you.
Love,
Fred & Betsy

The house is stunning. I love the outdoor paths and landscaping. This is a house that wraps its arms around you…………and me, when I “enter” it.
Thank you for posting the pictures.

Hello, Mike! I’m so touched, and Betsy will be as well.
The great multi-color spotlight with remote that you sent us just arrived today. It’s very cool – can’t wait to set it up. Your thoughtfulness and generosity are noted and appreciated. See you a week from Sunday!
Love,
Fred

Hi, David! The Bodhi tree is right behind the Gateless Gate at the side of the house! 🙂
I very much look forward to updates from Davidness as well as Conscious Awakeness. 😉
